About this deal

There’s also a number of Henry models with their own selling points, such as the Henry Xtra – a slide upgrade on Henry due to his extra tools – Henry Allergy, Henry Wash and Henry Micro. And then there’s the wildcard Henry Cordless option, the only cord-free vacuum available from the Henry range. The Henry Allergy vacuum cleaner is compact and powerful. It comes with all of the standard tools that you would expect...Plus HEPA filtration to eliminate airbound dust particles. It’s on the lighter side of a cylinder vacuum at less than 7 kg so it is highly manoeuvrable. The small profile also helps here. As well as for storage. It sports a powerful 950-watt motor that provides a good amount of suction. The attachments can help you get a total home clean up. With a crevice tool, upholstery brush and dusting brush, you can reach every nook and cranny thanks to the telescopic wand and long hose.

If you're looking for a bagged cylinder vac to take care of pet hair on a budget, then the Henry Pet won't disappoint. After using this vacuum for a number of weeks, Jen was sure that this could easily become her family vac, and loved the simplicity of cleanly disposing of the dust bag rather than being met by a cloud of debris when it came to emptying the tank. A good bagged, canister vacuum can be hard to find, especially if you don't want to spend a fortune, and the 10-metre cleaning range and attachments definitely go far enough here to make this vac worth your while. And if you are cleaning up after a pet but can’t afford a more luxury vacuum then this Hoover is a great choice. Plenty of suction power and you’ve got a crevice tool, furniture tool and a pet hair tool to deep clean into every single nook and cranny of your house. Hardwood floorhead – a handy feature for homeowners with a wooden floor (comes with Henry XL Plus, Henry Allergy HVA 160-11 and Henry Xtra HVX200) There is an allergy seal around the tank that traps in 99.9% of dust and allergens, which combined with the serious suction leaves you with a ridiculously clean house. The body also lifts out so that you can vacuum any stairs or high corners with the hose for a full house clean. The flagship Henry vacuum cleaner does not have a HEPA filter. Most Henrys come with a TriTex or MicroFresh filter. The only vacuum cleaner with HEPA filter from the Numatic’s Henry family is Henry Allergy, which is designed specifically with allergy sufferers in mind. When it comes to battery life, the Henry HVB is equipped with two batteries that have 30 minutes of charge respectively. Sarah found that those 60 minutes of cleaning time were more than enough for dealing with all of the messes her home threw at her. Yellow in colour, James has a slightly smaller bag capacity – eight litres rather than nine – than that of the Henry 200-11, his more famous family member. But in terms of performance there is no noticeable difference with the same motor size as Henry and Hetty; it’s once again a very capable machine built by Numatic International. If you need a no-frills, all functionality vacuum with a friendly face, then Henry won't let you down. As our reviewer Helen says 'In an age where most vacuums now seem to have screens, lasers, and tiny bagless dust canisters, Henry reminds us that you don’t need to spend a fortune on all this tech to get the job done'.

This type of HEPA filter charges negative ions that attract particles with positive ions. They then bond together and are too heavy to pass through the mesh of the filter. For people with pets in their homes both the Henry Pet and Harry would be better options than the original Henry, whilst George and Charles are also more favourable than Henry if you want a wet and dry vacuum. Henry is the model that started it all – although he’s had a number of upgrades over the years. With a charming exterior and simple design, you could be forgiven for thinking it can’t compete with more expensive models. As we found in our Henry Hoover review, however, this is far from the case. The way a HEPA filter works is by a series of mesh layers that not only trap the larger particles from getting through, but also by the collision of smaller particles against larger ones. Some HEPA filters are washable, and some need to be replaced once they are no longer effective. After taking it for a test vacuum at home, our reviewer Helen can only agree that Henry is a dependable workhorse, with a low-maintenance design. It doesn't have the sophisticated features that brand-new cordless vacuums do, but it also doesn't need to be charged or regularly emptied, with its six litre capacity.Henry is now suitable for dust related allergies. No mess, No dust, No allergens. Still the Henry we all know and love from Numatic but with the added seal of approval from the British Allergy Foundation. Henry Allergy-Friendly Cleaning For the average home, the HZ series isn’t required as the standard HepaFlo bags + TriTex filtration is adequate for household dust and allergens. The HZ series is only necessary for industrial uses. Which is the Best Henry Hoover?

There are organizations like the British Allergy Foundation that will give their stamp of approval for vacuums that have special features for people with allergies. This can give some peace of mind that the product has been tested with you in mind. Although it isn't the biggest Henry vacuum, the 6-litre capacity was more than enough for Jen's family home too, even with ongoing DIY projects. I can only recommend bagless cylinder vacuums for allergy sufferers that don’t have severe allergies. Our reviewer Linda was the perfect candidate to try out the Henry Allergy vac. Her busy family home has three dogs and a family member who suffers from allergies. In her testing quest, she discovered that the HEPA filter at work here is good for keeping dust at bay and that the large capacity and bagged design mean you're more likely to keep allergens out of social spaces. In terms of performance, Linda found that the Henry Pet aced the tests she set out for it, whether that was taking care of spilt flour or getting behind her radiators to banish dust. Another factor that allows James to be smaller is the cable tidy that can be found on the top of his head, which means you can manually wind the cable by hand. Where James stands out over the rest of the Henry Hoover range is the unique caddy tray that can also be found on the top of his head, providing a great storage place for his attachments that includes the crevice tool and the upholstery brush. This is easily the best vacuum cleaner if you’re worried about allergies or you’re looking to ease asthma, the 40 minutes run time is plenty to get around your whole house and it’s light enough for easy daily cleaning. The Henry Eco is very similar to other 6-litre Henry models, with the key difference being an energy-efficient motor – 420W compared with 620W. Reducing the motor power helps save on energy bills, although the suction power is slightly reduced as a result. If you decide Charles is the wet and dry vacuum for you, you’ll be getting a great all-in-one vacuum cleaner with plenty of bag capacity. The fact he’s also lighter than George means he’s easier to manoeuvre and carry around.

The suction. Hands down. It lifted up the biggest, heaviest rug Jen has in her house. That means it can get deep into carpet pile, which is reassuring and satisfying at the same time. The filter is the best you can get, you can trust Dyson to provide you with the best there is. The only reason this isn’t my top choice is it’s more expensive, but I can assure you it’s my favourite vacuum cleaner and worth every penny. Some features such as the turbo brush and mini pet turbo tool are only included with certain models of Henry. But they are available to buy as an add-on and are compatible with some of the most popular Henry vacuum cleaners. But that doesn't necessarily make for inferior cleaning performance. There are plenty of cordless vacuums that ace our cleaning tests and score much higher than some corded vacuum cleaners, regardless of their power. If you are an allergy sufferer then having a vacuum that leaves the air cleaner after using it is extremely important. A vacuum without proper filtration could make your allergies worse. But even if you’re not an allergy sufferer a HEPA vacuum can be a good idea to help purify the air in your home keeping it fresher.
